Featured Boat of the Week – Nordlund 52 Pilothouse Trawler!

October 21, 2010

This distinctive Ed Monk-designed Pilothouse Trawler built by Nordlund Boat Company served in missionary work among the coastal villages of Alaska. It’s present owner replaced the carpet, church pews and organ with beautiful custom inlaid teak and holly floors, two comfortable leather hide-a-bed couches and coordinating chairs. A gourmet galley with granite countertops and custom sink have also been added. Sleeping accommodations include a double berth in the master, three single berths in the second cabin and a bunk house arrangement in the pilothouse. Both heads are nicely appointed and have been updated with Corian counter tops.

All USCG safety requirements were updated this summer and a 2010 survey report says, “This vessel’s hull, decks and house were tap sounded EXTREMELY STRONG…it also has iron bark from 12 inches below the waterline to 6 inches above the waterline for protection.”

This warm, spacious, luxuriously outfitted, and repowered Nordlund 52 Pilothouse Trawler is ready for its new mission……to provide enjoyment and pleasure to a new owner’s family and friends!!!!
